Barrel Crown

BARREL CROWN = ACCURACY

The crown of the barrel is "ONE" of the key ingredients to achieve an accurate gun of any kind, whether it be a handgun or a rifle. There are other factors involved in achieving accuracy that must be addressed also such as proper lock up and trigger pull.

When a bullet leaves the muzzle of the barrel and enters the atmosphere "DISTURBED" because of a poorly cut crown there will be poor accuracy and fliers.
The fact that you have a new gun or a new barrel does not mean a thing. There are "know it all's" out there that think because you have a new barrel that they can not be improved, they are wrong.

I use tools for my crown work that are non metallic specially made for me by my good friend Bubba who is my machinist, only the cutter is steel.
I lap the crown with Industrial Diamonds in the Micron range.
You can not tell a crown is cut exact until you start cutting it and then you see the obvious errors.
If you want me to go into more detail about crown work, please email me. As I have just scratched the surface to enlighten you.

This is just another part of my attention to detail.
