Crisis Kit
Check list Being prepared for emergencies gives you piece of mind.
The recent turbulent events in our nation and the world have put many of us on alert. This newly heightened awareness has people searching for a means of control or a way to be prepared. One way to do just that is to build—or freshen up—a crisis kit for your home.
A crisis kit is comprised of items you'll want to have on hand in case of emergency. The contents help you treat minor first aid problems, include key personal papers and sundries from waterproof matches to flares and umbrellas. Of course, these kits can't cover every situation; for example, be sure to contact a doctor in the case of medical emergency.
Pack your kit in a portable container in case of evacuation and always keep it close at hand. It's also wise to keep a scaled down version in your car. Also remember to update your kit annually, and if you have the room, by all means add some extras such as books or games. The idea is to be as prepared and comfortable as you can be, come what may.

G2B EXCLUSIVE UPDATE
Katrina and U.S security
America's weakness exposed to enemies
Top level
G2 Headlines

America's enemies are smiling today.
They are watching the chaos in New Orleans with assurance that the U.S. is unprepared for even a single disaster in one medium-sized American city. The U.S. is not alone in waking up to the real-life nightmare on a large part of its southern coastline and to the military significance of Hurricane Katrina’s "Shock and Awe" assault.
U.S. foes and rivals, from jihadi terrorists to China, North Korea, even Venezuela and other enemies and potential enemies are closely watching the New Orleans disaster, assessing every aspect of what seems to be not only the worst natural disaster in U.S. history, but also a security calamity that will have a long-lasting impact on U.S. global-strategic roles.
A nuclear disaster in a U.S. urban center would have unimaginable consequences, if, in its aftermath, the New Orleans relief model is repeated. They say it is incomprehensible how ill-prepared for this situation are the Homeland Security apparatus, the National Guard and other organizations. Immediately after 9/11, a disaster confined to a few blocks in an otherwise fully operational city and state, intelligence analysts expressed predictive warnings of future dangers.
Earlier this year Washington, D.C., was put on hold with thousands of people running aimlessly in the streets as a single engine private aircraft mistakenly penetrated protected airspace. The alarm sounded by the police revealed how poorly the nation’s capital is protected, basically exposed with no emergency and readiness response teams at hand to instruct the public how to behave in certain situations.
What would have been the right reaction on 9/11, namely to run out of the buildings, could have resulted in a catastrophe in D.C., had the aircraft been spraying biological or chemical substances. A Russian analyst sent G2B an e-mail asking what good is it to keep idle SWAT teams normally ready to tackle individual or small groups of criminals, at times waiting months for action, when there are no standby forces ready to move on a short notice to a disaster area like that of New Orleans.
The Russian analyst used the example of the April 1986 Chernobyl nuclear calamity as an example of how to deal with the urgent necessity to take care of a multitude of people. Within a few days 120,000 people were evacuated from a 20-mile radius disaster area with an additional 210,000 people relocated somewhat later. The stricken area, cities and villages, was evacuated immediately, mainly because of a decision made by then-President Mikhail Gorbachev, who understood the full dimension of the nuclear peripheral danger.
At this stage, as worldwide intelligence organizations are focusing on New Orleans, specialists on a wide range of U.S. affairs are undoubtedly being asked to put together evaluations and analysis documents. When North Korea brags it will soon have the capability to target the U.S. with long-range ballistic missiles, when the threat of a nuclear terror attack could be just a matter of time, teams of civilian and military planners should immediately gather around a brand new drawing board and come up with a whole new strategy on how to confront, not only a hurricane, but the frightening possibility of a WMD attack on several U.S. urban centers in one blow.
Hurricane Katrina is not only the cause for a horrendous human tragedy, it is also an alarm bell reverberating from the shores of the Gulf Coast to the bunkers of America's sworn enemies.

ZECHARIAH CHAPTER - 14 - VERSE 12
12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the peoples that have warred against Jerusalem: their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their sockets, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth.

2 Timothy 3
1 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
6 For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts,
7 Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
8 Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.
9 But they shall proceed no further: for their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was.
U.S. report says Iran seeks to acquire nuclear weapons
By Bill Gertz - THE WASHINGTON TIMES - September 16, 2005
Iran is concealing many of its nuclear facilities from international controls and the activities show it is seeking nuclear weapons, according to a U.S. government report. The computer slide presentation developed by the Energy Department for the International Atomic Energy Agency also shows that Iran's nuclear program closely resembles Pakistan's nuclear arms programs.
"Iran's past history of concealment and deception and nuclear fuel cycle infrastructure are most consistent with an intent to acquire nuclear weapons," the report said. The report, first made public Wednesday by ABC News, states that Iran has a "confirmed record of hiding sensitive nuclear fuel cycle activities from the IAEA."
The presentation contains numerous photographs, including satellite imagery, showing that Iran built "dummy buildings" to hide an underground vehicle entrance and ventilator shafts at its Natanz facility.
Iran has violated IAEA safeguards and provided false information about centrifuge development, plutonium experiments and military involvement in nuclear activity, the 43-page report stated. The presentation was shown recently at the U.S. mission to the IAEA in Vienna at a briefing for IAEA representatives. It was produced by the Energy Department's Los Alamos National Laboratory and Pacific Northwest National Laboratories.
Seven of Iran's 13 nuclear-related facilities were kept secret until 2002, including enrichment plants at Lashkar-Abad, Tehran, Natanz, and uranium processing at Adrekan and Gachin, the report said. "Iran's nuclear program is well-scaled for a weapons capability, as a comparison to [Pakistan's] nuclear weapons infrastructure shows," the report said. "When one also considers Iran's concealment and deception activities, it's difficult to escape the conclusion that Iran is pursuing nuclear weapons."
The Bush administration is pressing the IAEA to refer the issue of Iran's covert nuclear program to the United Nations Security Council, after months of diplomatic efforts by the governments of Britain, France and Germany have produced few results. The United Nations could then impose economic sanctions against Iran or possibly a future authorization for the use of force.
The report states that Iran's uranium ore resources are insufficient for Tehran to produce enough fuel for civilian electrical power generating reactors.
