1911 Book - Available

WELCOME TO THE NO BS ZONE.
Stephen Camp has now completed his excellent book titled "The shooters Guide To The 1911 Pattern Pistol" . This book is now available for immediate delivery. Mr. Camp is the author of the well known book called "The Shooters Guide To The Browning Hi Power"

This new book contains 164 pages. This new 1911 book is intended to convey facts, observations, and even subjective views on the 1911 pistol and its use. There is some reflection to historical data. This book is not written for serious collectors. It does not include Race Guns and or Double Action stack high capacity pistols or Double Action versions. Its a must for people that need to know and understand the pros and cons of the 1911 design.

You will be able to see various models of the 1911 pistol and the book provides descriptions and observations. There is some evaluation of ammunition, which will be primarily in 45 acp but it does include other calibers. You will learn about what modifications are suggested and which are to be avoided and they are discussed. The cleaning and maintenance of the 1911 is discussed. There are evaluations by various Smiths. This book discusses accuracy, reliability, service life, effectiveness, and strong points that will help the owner of any brand of 1911 pistol.

It is not a gunsmith shop manual. This book is for the serious owner and user of the 1911 pistol. The author explains what has worked for him and what has not. This book is filled with photos of all kinds that will help explain things, it provides a very detailed examination on using, customizing and trouble shooting the 1911 pistol.

Since I was a young kid I have bought and read gun books, and I still have most of these old gun books which have become a part of my life. In every book I have ever read there was something I learned that I never forgot. As a general rule I do not read gun magazines and very few gun books because I have limited time after working hours and my interest lies in specific Bible Scriptures. I put in a very long day for my age and its not easy. Mr. Camps 1911 book is the exception as I will read every page because I know how super honest and thorough he is.

I am not a hunter, I do not shoot 4 legged animals of any kind, but I have studied self defense with and without the use of weapons since I was a teenager. I always liked the 1911 pistol but when I carried one it let me down, I now understand why, which was because of the people I trusted to fine tune it that really did not know how. They were all BS, and it was my life that was on the line trusting there incompetence. I know better now, but its a little late. I learned that you can always initially judge a mechanic by the quality of the very tools be buys and uses.

Looking through this book there are many things that caught my eye that I want to read in detail. All in all if you want to know more about John Brownings 1911 pistol I think this book would be a welcome addition to your handgun library.
