You have come to the right place to finally get the truth about everything within my area of expertise. I have no written script and I will tell it just like it is, for those that can not handle it, you can leave now and go back to the pink rubber ducky chat rooms where they will tell you what you want to hear. The BS stops right here and now about Trigger Jobs and Action work.


I am 64 years old and I have been thru hell and back all my life, not only with personal medical problems but with trying to learn all I could since the 70's about trigger work. I had many Smiths do trigger jobs for me when I was a kid and the only thing they ever did was cut my springs when they were alone with my handgun. I did not know any better at the time and when I started to have misfires it all started to become clear that those people that did the work for me were "FRAUDS".


Some people call the tuning up of a handgun action a TRIGGER JOB, and and things progressed thru the years I wanted to separate myself from these frauds and liars so I called my work "ACTION WORK" . In order to do a trigger job on any hand gun what that means to me is that it should be refined and all the friction taken out of the action safely which would then allow a person to use reduced power springs and "NOT" always cut the internal springs. Everyones definition of a trigger job is different and before you have anything done always ask them to define what that means.


In all these years since the 70's I have not ever seen any internal action work as good as mine because they simply do not know what to do. I am telling you the truth whether you like it or not. There are some very qualified SMITHS out there that do beautiful machine work but as far as internal work they just do not understand what it means to refine all the parts. JUST CUTTING THE INTERNAL SPRINGS AND TAKING THEIR CHEAP TWO DOLLAR STONE AND STROKING YOUR HAMMER AND SEAR IS TOTAL BS. Don't like what I am saying tough, deal with the truth or get the hell out of my place and my world. I am angry at all the frauds that take advantage of the honest gun owner jepardizing his or her life. Am I affraid of you ??, NOT IN THIS LIFE OR ANY OTHER LIFE.


As I wrote, I have nothing in writing by way as a script, I write as I go. Regarding the 1911 pistol, you can not drop in a new trigger and bend your sear spring and cut your hammer spring and stroke your hammer and sear with your cheap stone and call it a trigger job, thats all BS. These bendable tab triggers are for amateurs, we never had them before, they are for the person that just does not know what to do in order to rearrange the take up, do not believe their BS. When people make custom 1911 pistols and drop in a $15.00 trigger and a 5.00 sear and an $8.00 disconnector you are not getting the custom quality pistol you want, its all BS. I have made my last custom 1911 pistol for a man in Northern Texas and I will never make anyone another one but it took me 90 hours of handwork and it is internally a work of art. Where are you McCormick Triggers ??????????????


I had a man in here a while back that pulled out his check book and said I want to buy all your jigs, price is no object. I told him they were not for sale and would never be for sale even when I am dead. The reason is because some one will offer to do trigger or action work using the same tooling as Actions By "T" and will rip people off. I will not allow that to ever happen. I have instructed my wife and son that my jigs will never be sold, they will either be destroyed or locked in a tool box and stored away, never to be used by anyone that can take advantage of the honest gun owner. This includes my Nylon crown cutting tools. I do not put money first, its my integrity and honesty and my legacy of doing the best quality action work in this world that is so important to me.


I have not even mentioned all the other type handguns that I have done action work on such as revolvers and the other various manufacturers. NOT ONE FACTORY HAS EVER DECLINED TO HONOR THEIR WARRANTY OF ANY HANDGUN I HAVE WORKED ON THAT I KNOW OF. I BARELY HAVE EVER GOTTEN A 1% RETURN RATE OF ANY OF MY WORK. That alone must tell you something. So when I get all these threads sent to me from all over about people discussing not only hammer and sear angles by people that know nothing compared to me, it makes me sick. They do not have a clue how to refine the internals of a handgun of any kind. I buy most of my supplies from industries far related to the gun industry which are years behind in technology with respect to supplies used for refinements.


YOU HAVE EVERY RIGHT TO ASK ANY ONE THAT IS GOING TO DO A TRIGGER JOB OR AN ACTION JOB ON YOUR HANDGUN THAT WILL PROTECT LIFE AND PROPERTY TO DEFINE HIS OR HER DEFINITION OF WHAT THIS WORK ENTAILS AND MEANS TO THEM. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT YOUR LIFE AND YOUR FAMILIES LIVES, DO NOT BE AFFRAID TO ASK. ALWAYS ASK IF THEY WILL CUT YOUR ENGAGEMENTS WITH A JIG. IF THEY ARE UNCLEAR OR REFUSE, WALK AWAY. ALWAYS BE CERTAIN THAT THEY KNOW YOUR REVOLVER MUST HAVE NO LESS THAN A 3 LB. SINGLE ACTION PULL WHEN THEY ARE FINISHED. TELL THEM YOU WILL CHECK FOR HAMMER PUSH OFF OUT OF THE SINGLE ACTION ENGAGEMENT. REMEMBER YOU ARE DEALING WITH AN INDUSTRY OF WORKERS WHERE THERE IS NO LICENSING CRITERIA FOR QUALITY OF WORK STANDARDS. DEAL WITH IT HONESTLY, NEVER LIE TO YOURSELF. THE FACT THAT A PERSON HAS HIS OR HER NAME MENTIONED IN A MAJOR PUBLICATION ONCE OR TWICE DOES NOT MEAN JACK SH*T. "NEVER BUY OR CARRY A PORTED GUN OF ANY KIND FOR PROTECTION OF LIFE AND PROPERTY"


I WILL END THIS COMMENTARY NOW AS I SAID WHAT I WANTED. YOU DO NOT LIKE ME, I DO NOT CARE, PISS OFF BECAUSE I LIE FOR NO ONE. I AM ONLY INTERESTED IN HELPING THE HONEST GUN OWNER THAT HAS MY INTEREST, BECAUSE I WAS ONE OF YOU AT ONE POINT IN TIME A VERY LONG TIME AGO.
