TSJ - I WILL SEMI RETIRE

Before I go any further please be sure I will keep my commitments I made until today which is Jan. 26, 2005. I knew as my health declined that there would come a day that it would be decision time.
I have lived in the best of times and I knew the best of people this world had to offer. I am part of the old guard and I must slow down as this decision is more painful than you can ever dream.

I will no longer take in work that has been butchered by some one else. I would ask those that have need of my services to call me first before they ship anything because I will only accept a certain amount of work that is not going to be another killer job for me.

I will of course keep my word about the PROJECT STREET GUN and those that are involved should not be concerned. Mr. Camp understands that I am an honorable man and my word is my bond. I have been in the MASONIC lodge for almost 40 years.

I have been in declining health for many years, but its time for me to face up to it. I will finish my last few projects. I will still only be a phone call away to help you on the phone. I will still be able to advise you, what your purchase options are. I will still write my blogger commentary, most every day. I will still keep my website but will make some modifications soon.

I have worked on over 7000 1911 pistols of all kinds, over 6000 revolvers of all kinds, and over 2500 Sig Sauer pistols which does not include all the other models of handguns I have worked on. I am worn out, as I do everything by hand.

From a personal standpoint my medical problems are very chronic and very complicated. I lived a very hard life with broken bones everywhere. My neck is beyond repair as is my back and shoulders, etc, etc. I have been very fortunate to have the very best Doctor that I could have ever hoped for, if it was not for him I would be long gone.

I take the best medications that money can buy in this modern age, but working like I have my entire life has caught up with me. I know more about my work now than ever, the quality of my work is better than ever but my joints and muscles are about gone.

I have decided to tell you like it is. There is no point in beating around the bush, that has never been my style to BS anyone including myself. My son Charles will be helping me now with my paper work, etc, as time allows. Charles was in the Military for 8 years and when he got back from Bosnia he left the military and was part of the 49 th armored division in Austin, Texas. He knows a lot about what I do and now he understands the stress I live under. He is a very smart young man.

I will be able to pace myself better now but it will not help my chronic medical condition but my days will be easier. I have made this decision because I have very limited options. I will be glad to take your phone calls or answer your emails should you want to speak with me about anything.

TO SUM UP, I have decided to semi retire due to declining health, effective immediately. I will keep my word on my promises to date. I must speak with anyone wanting any work before you ship anything to me.

I want to thank all of my customers and friends world wide. Feel free to contact me for what ever reason, I will still help you with your options. Call most any day after 10 am central time. IF YOU HAVE A HANDGUN WORKED ON BY ME, DO NOT SELL IT BECAUSE IT WILL INCREASE IN VALUE A GREAT DEAL.
