Project - Update II

Please Note: I spent so much time yesterday 12/15/04 tracking down sources for the Mil-Spec 1911 pistol, I was unable to write a new commentary for today. Our Project Street Gun is slowly becoming a reality as we have the necessary people to proceed. It is no problem if we accept a few more people that want to join our team effort in making a street gun starting with a Mil-Spec pistol. I will do the hard work of mating and fitting all the critical parts so you need not worry. I will be the one to install what ever thumb safety or extractor that is required. I will be the one that will set it up so reassembly will "NEVER" require the use of a tool to depress the detent pin into the plunger tube. It will all be done my way which is the best and most efficient way I have found through the years.

I do not mind in the least if you already own the specific 5 inch government model 1911 pistol we will be using. I WOULD RATHER YOU ALREADY OWN THIS SPECIFIC MODEL, BECAUSE ONE OF THE MAJOR PROBLEMS I HAVE ENCOUNTERED THAT MOST WHOLESALERS DO NOT HAVE A QUANTITY AT ANY GIVEN TIME. IF YOU CAN FIND ONE ON YOUR OWN FOR A DECENT PRICE, BY ALL MEANS GO AHEAD AND BUY IT NOW.
Every team member will work at their own pace and when they have the pistol, as Mr. Camp has suggested they go ahead and fire it first, so that you will understand and know the "BEFORE" and later you will appreciate the "AFTER".
I fully agree with Mr. Camp.

I have been making these upgrade kits or like some would call it FIRE CONTROL KITS for years. In this team effort I will include more components such as a prefitted trigger. All my internals will not only look better and will work better but I will Jewel most all internals using ceramic particles. I will take no shorts cuts to make everything much better.

I get so many emails, people constantly ask me how can I find so much to write about, I have been writing most of my life. When I look at a handgun I see it differently than most other people, I always study each and every part and ask myself "HOW CAN I IMPROVE THIS PART" I never give up until I come up with an answer. If its springs we will buy the best for each application. I would like the Project Gun to retain its original look, but be totally refined.

I would like you to email me your suggestions. Please remember I am only one person and I never stop working and I will answer you. My email comes in on 2 different computers and if for any reason you do not get an immediate answer, please call me because either I missed it or I did not get it.
The other day we had almost 700 hits, in fact its the last 2 days on this Blogger commentary. My goal is to get a constant 1000 hits per day. I am getting emails from all over the world, including from our troops.

I have already started to make copies of my video for 20 plus team members. I would ask those that are in the project to confirm your status that it has not changed by sending an email to Mr. Camp as he has set up a filing system in his computer for all of you. I am now making my preparations for my decisions of what parts I want to use and which trigger we will use. I have started detailed lists on paper of everything. IF YOU WANT A STAINLESS STEEL MIL-SPEC PISTOL THAT IS FINE WITH ME.

Please feel free to call me most any day after 10 am central time to discuss anything related to this project, I will make time for all of you. Most of what must take place "AFTER" you get your pistol is up to me, I will do all the very detailed work. I am a one person operation, I have no employees and I will do everything my self by hand. This will be a wonderful accomplishment for myself and Mr. Camp and I know you will be proud to own this PROJECT STREET GUN. THANKYOU....


Please Note: As with any new venture things surface that I did not expect. The main problem is that this Mil-Spec 1911 pistol is never given in quantity to any specific dealer. At first I thought we could easily find 20 at one location. At this point in time I have learned we will have to get a few here and a few there. Some of the Mil-Spec 1911 pistols can be purchased in Texas and we will have to go to other dealers nationwide. Please send me an email so that I can give you a list of the various wholesalers I use around the country and I want you to start locating your pistol and to purchase the model you want and can find. It seems the factory is just giving each wholesaler so many per month, but making a few calls I have no doubt you can find one now. This seems to be a model that is in great demand. Please start looking after you email me for the list I will give you. I have made a lot of calls and I realize now this is one popular model for the money.
